At Battery of New Zealand, we stand by the quality and performance of our products. Our extensive warranty coverage ensures peace of mind with your new vehicle or marine battery. The benefits under these warranties are in addition to your statutory rights under New Zealand law, including the New Zealand Fair Trading Act.

Our wide range of AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and Maintenance-Free (MF) batteries are warranted against defects due to faulty manufacturing. The following warranties apply, commencing from the date of purchase:

Battery Warranty Details:

1. AGML Series (AGML5, AGML4, AGML3, AGML2)
   These AGM-type Maintenance-Free batteries are ideal for start-stop vehicles and modern cars that require higher electrical support.
   Warranty: Up to 50 months

2. BNZ Series (e.g., BNZ-55D23LMF, BNZ-80D26RMF, BNZ-95D31LMF, BNZ-55B24RSMF, BNZ-SSD23RMF, BMZ-58827MF)
   Standard Maintenance-Free batteries designed for use in regular petrol/diesel cars, SUVs, vans, and small trucks.
   Warranty: Up to 36 months

Important Warranty Conditions:

• Manufacturers’ Guidelines: The warranty is conditional upon adhering to the manufacturer’s guidelines and specifications for battery use and care.

• Warranty Cancellation:

  • If the battery packs are opened or the original seals are broken.

  • If the battery is exposed to moisture or wet conditions.

Additional Warranty Information:

• Legal Rights: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Fair Trading Act. You are entitled to a replacement or refund in case of major failure and compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the product fails to meet acceptable quality standards, we will repair or replace it as required.

• Labor Costs: The warranty does not cover labor costs for the removal or replacement of the battery, unless Battery of New Zealand has provided prior written approval.
